This course is designed to give students a concentrated study of the creation of functional pottery forms. Areas of pottery production include hand building techniques: Coil pottery, Slab pottery, Pinch and Combination pottery. Students will also develop skills throwing on the potter’s wheel working up to more technical forms with a more personal style. This course allows students to work with the concept of three dimensional form and provides an understanding of basic sculptural theory.
