REQUIRED MATERIALS:
Text Book
Pencil
Notebook or filler paper
3 Ring Binder
Scientific Calculator OR Graphing Calculator (TI-83 plus recommended)
RULES:
Be prepared for class - You must bring your book, notebook, pencil,
and calculator daily.
Be on time - You must be through the doorway at the time the bell
rings or you will have a tardy.
Do ALL work in Pencil
YOU are responsible for YOUR actions - Have respect for others.
Do
not talk when others are talking. Name calling, put downs, or
inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
GRADING:
Your grade will be based on the following:
Daily Homework - Homework is worth 3points per assignment.
Incomplete homework will result in a 30 min detention and
a loss of one point per assignment.
Tests - A test will follow each chapter, worth 100 points
each.
Quizzes - There will be quiz at least once a week covering
every 2-4 sections. Point values
range from approximately 20 to 40 points.
Activities - There will be activities and/or projects throughout
the
year.
Semester Final - There will be a final at the end of each
semester, worth 10% of your semester grade.
CHEATING:
Any form of cheating is not allowed and may result in one or more
of the following:
completion of the assignment with little to no credit
time after school
office referral
phone call to your parents
ABSENCES:
Excused: For each day absent, you will have one day to complete make
up work. If you know you are going to be absent, you must make up your work
in advanced unless otherwise stated by me. If you fail to do this, points may
be deducted for each day it is not turned in and detentions will be assigned.
Unexcused: Work will need to be completed and may result in no
credit.
LATE WORK:
30 minute detentions will be assigned for homework not complete
by class time.
Re-Takes:
Re-takes are allowed to students who fail a quiz or
test, but will only be able to earn a 70% (passing grade).
