Sociology is the study of groups and the social structure of societies. This involves the study of how people interact with other people, with their social institutions and how their society is organized. The class is a survey course of the basic concepts involved in sociology with an emphasis on how that relates to the individual student. Class expectations will include discussion, readings, role playing, and experiments dealing with the different topic areas.
