Required Material:

• Textbook: Glencoe McGraw-Hill, ( 2001) Understanding Psychology.
• Notebook
• Something to write with.
• Students are responsible for all material presented in class.

Attendance:

STUDENTS are responsible for seeing the instructor for any work missed due to an absence. Check with the instructor the day that you return to school to get any missed work. You have the same number of days that you missed school to get your work done. Failure to do this will result in a late grade.

Evaluation:

Examinations: The number of test will be determined by the number of chapters the class completes in a semester.
Tests dates will usually be announced in class at least one week before the tests.
* Each failed test must be completely corrected by the student after the students has been handed back his or her grade. It must be before or after school. The highest possible final grade a student may obtain from a corrected test is a 70%. Until this is not done the score will be a 0% regardless of the students grade.

Daily Work: Daily work assignments will be given at the end of each chapter. Class time will be given to complete all daily work.
* Daily work must be completed each day in time for class. An assignment not completed by the assigned time will still be completed. The highest possible grade on a late assignment will be a 70%.
Experiments:
• Students will be responsible for completing several experiments outside of class.
Additional Work: Students are also responsible for films, group activities, and any other assignments that the instructor feels are necessary.

* All reading will be done in class.

* Cheating on any assignment may automatically result in a ZERO. In addition your parent/guardian may be notified and additional punishment may be assessed.

* Grades will be figured by adding your point total accumulated from tests, daily work, experiments, and any other work assigned by the instructor and dividing the total points possible into this number. Semester grades will be figured by averaging the two quarter scores together.

Course grades will be assigned as follows:
A: 100% - 94%
B: 93% - 86%
C: 85% - 78%
D: 77% - 70%
F: 69% and below
